Hockey Fights Cancer: Walleye vs. Kalamazoo Wings

The Walleye are teaming up with the ECHL and Hockey Fights Cancer to raise awareness and money for cancer research during a special Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Friday, November 17. Players will wear specialty Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys as well as skate on purple ice.

It’s a purple-out: Fans are encouraged to wear purple to support the cause.

Dasher boards:

We're inviting all fans to write the name of a loved one who has been affected by cancer on one of our two Hockey Fights Cancer dasher boards that will be displayed along the ice on Friday, November 17.

The dasher boards can be signed on the main concourse in section 109 during our games on Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12.

Placards:

Fill out your own personal Hockey Fights Cancer placard with the name of a loved one affected by cancer to hold up during our specialty recognition during the game.

Hockey Fights Cancer Pregame Dinner

Join us for a pregame dinner on Friday, November 17 to celebrate local warriors in the fight against cancer. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Aquarium. This dinner is open to everyone.

What you get:

  • Walleye game ticket for Friday, November 17
  • All-you-can-eat pregame buffet (parmesan breaded chicken breast, Italian sausage with peppers and onions, penne pasta with alfredo and marinara sauce, Caesar salad, dinner rolls with butter, lemon blueberry cookies)

Mystery Puck Sale

Stop by our table on the main concourse in section 106 on Friday, November 17 to purchase a mystery puck! Mystery pucks will be $20 and are all signed by current Toledo Walleye players. Each puck will be individually placed in a purple bag.

Please note that there will be no returns. Mystery pucks will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

The Walleye will wear purple Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys as they take on Kalamazoo at the Huntington Center on November 17. All game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off live following the game with proceeds benefitting the ProMedica Cancer Institute.
